I like this subtitle and wanted there to be more on this point. Yes, the purpose of breaking someone down or filling their mind with racist claptrap or gaslighting them is to keep them preoccupied with that BS, so the perpetrator can do what he(she) wants on the side with less interference. I am here to read more on that.
